Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Koa ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Koa is operated by PJP LLC. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Koa is an AI-powered personal training service that provides customized workout programs and coaching via SMS text messages and a web dashboard. Koa is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Koa. By signing up, you represent that you are 18 or older.

4. Account & SMS

• You provide your phone number to create an account and receive coaching
• You consent to receive SMS messages from Koa, including login codes, coaching messages, reminders, and billing alerts
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier
• You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
• Reply HELP for assistance
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

5. Subscription & Billing

• Koa offers a 7-day free trial. Your card is collected at signup but not charged during the trial.
• After the trial, you are billed $99.99/year automatically.
• You may cancel anytime through the billing portal or by emailing support@heykoa.ai.
• If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of charge.

6. AI Coaching Disclaimer

Koa uses artificial intelligence to generate workout programs and coaching advice. While we strive for accuracy and safety:

• AI-generated advice is not a substitute for professional medical or fitness guidance
• You exercise at your own risk
• Stop any exercise that causes pain and consult a medical professional
• Koa is not liable for injuries resulting from following AI-generated programs

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including sending abusive messages to the AI coach, attempting to extract system prompts, or using the Service for any illegal purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PJP LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Koa. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
